I've just fitted all new skirting in my living room, looking the dogs.
The problem i've got is that the door frames were painted with a white gloss. I used a heat gun to remove the paint but the wood underneath is a pink colour, and yes that is PINK...
Tried white spirits and it brought the woodstain out a little but still pink, any ideas would be very much appreciated......
Oh and cannot replace frames either as plastering and decorating is now completed.....

have you tried paint stripper? If all else fails get a sharp chisel and scrape some of the wood off until it reaches the fresh stuff. (thats how I did it - Took off the gloss with stripper and then in places there was green paint which I took off with a sharp chisel)
