Looking at your sketch i would lay them horizontally.
Once done you would come into the hall, find tiles running straight down.
Toilet and utility would be mainly covered by appliances, vanity unit, toilet, etc.
Said this, sometimes to give illusion of a larger space, tiles are laid along the shorter side of the room.
I suggest you place a few on the floor to have an idea of what you prefer, but the hallway is the important part.
