Wooden door protection

Good mornin all,

I have recently bought some oak doors and was wondering what is the best thing to protect them?

I was just going to buy some oil but as the doors cost a fair bit, I wanted the best varnish/stain/oil to protect and maintain their appearance.

Veneered I think

Then the manufacturer's instructions for your door are very likely to warn you not to use oil or wax.

So use a matt or satin varnish.
