Was up there last night and there are quite a few holes with fresh dust around/underneath so it looks like a live infestation.
The garage is unheated and has a little bit of damp coming up though the floor in a couple of places so the roof timbers are probably a bit moist which is how the worm like them i believe.
Ventilation in there is poor. The garage has a false ceiling with a loft hatch. The walls are rendered so in general it doesn't breathe too well.
I've read that worm don't like dry timber. If i improve the ventilation in the loft space will this be enough to encourage them to go elsewhere?
If so whats the best way to get enough airflow?
Should I also self treat?
If you were in this situ what would you do?
