Hello

I recently moved to a house with the above boiler and a Trevi mixer shower. The shower is a seperate room on its own on the upper floor. I decided to have the boiler serviced and had the diaphragm replaced etc as i'd found the heating in the shower a little variable. The heating pressure is set to 1.5.

Following the service, the shower wouldn't fire the boiler at all. We found that it would fire if we removed the shower head, so figured it was the head being scaled up. Replaced the shower head and all was good.

A month down the line and again the demand light doesn't seem to want to operate when the shower is turned on. All the hot taps upstairs and down start it instantly so i'm at a bit of a loss. I'd be grateful for any thoughts on this as having baths is a little annoying.

Cheers

Sounds like they havent actually replaced the diapragm as it cannot be done on this boiler without alot of other bits coming out first.

If they were there 2hrs and you heard a bit of swearing then they might have :)

Get it looked at again or call them back. depends who it was and if you trust them to do it right.

Hi Stan

2 Hours it was with plenty of swearing :D . The plumber in question is an old friend of mine, who is thankfully of a qualified nature.

He did pop back but as all the other taps worked was at a bit of a loss. His only downfall is that he tends to get frustrated and start weilding hammers etc. This is why I decided to ask on the forum, for a softer approach as it where.

Cheers

I had same problem once. Turned out I'd fitted diaphragm etc wrong way round
