Worcester 24cdi Filling Loop

Is it easy to replace a filling loop on an old 24cdi . About 18 years old and every time we adjust the pressure it often continues to drip as something has worn. Often difficult to tell if key has engaged properly. So we have to re-insert key often to try and stop dripping.
Does a heating engineer have to do this?
