Worcester 24i won't fire up first time

I have a Worcester 24i combi boiler and when I try to turn on the hot water or central heating, when the boiler is cold, the pump comes on but the boiler doesn't ignite. If I then turn it off (hot tap or the boiler CH) and try again it normally works.

Would a service clear it?

Can anybody please help?
