hi there can anyone shine any light on the problem i have with my boiler . when i turn the hot tap on boiler is trying to ignite but just goes to lock out when i reset the boiler and try again if i tap the pump quite hard the boiler fires up . is it sludge in the pump ,a dry electrical joint or something else any ideas would be great full thanks

If it is not a greenstar si then the pump wont run for hot water.
Proberbly a pcb issue.
You will need the serial number from your boiler to order the replacement.
Could be a gas valve issue.
Either way I recommend you get a good boiler repair person in to correctly diagnose and repair
