OK,

Today I replaced the expansion vessel. The old one was full of water!

Checked the thermistor against a new one, same readings when hot and cold.

Diverter valve is working fine.

Central heating is working fine.

SO, Hot water problem....

Hot water is not getting very hot, max temp at tap today was about 44 deg C.

Am now looking to check the water heat exchanger. If this has crud in it, is it possible to remove it and pressure flush it to clean it or would is this not possible?
If it is not the heat exchanger, where is the next place to look?

Thanks in advance.

Also, would the flow switch have anything to do with it and can this be removed for cleaning purposes?

What are you expecting the temperature to be?
What is the output of the boiler?
You need to check the flow rate and the temperature rise.

Not sure what I expect the temp to be, hotter than hand hot 44 degs though! The documentation says water should steady at 58deg.

Basically, I want to have a shower without the water going freezing cold, then getting hot, then going cold etc etc.

Its a Worcester 280rsf and has an output of 28kW I believe.
