Hi, I need to increase the water pressure as it has fallen below the red marker and my central heating isn't coming on. I don't seem to have a pressure value anywhere? I know that it's usually on the sliver flexy bit of pipe (not a great discription!) but it's not there? Any ideas? Thanks.

I Promise it isn't. A friend has the 240 model and shown me where it is on there but there is definately no Pressure valve. Any other ideas?

And where would it be on your mates boiler?

Is it just below the boiler by any chance?

I have never ever ever ever seen a worcester bosch 240 combination boiler with a method of filling other than an external filling loop

no Pressure valve.

You mean filling loop valve BTW

They can be fed from a F&E tank in which case the guage could be on the red and meant to be that way

See page 8 of the Manufacturers instructions

Have a look for the F&E tank, check that there is water in it.
It could be that the feed pipe is blocked or there is another reason why the heating won't work

Low water pressure cannot stop this boiler trying to light, unless it has overheated and locked out because / or there is too little for circulation.
There is no low pressure switch.

Ok thanks for your replies.

However:-

Scatmanjohn - I have a 280 not 240, I know what a filling loop valve looks like and where it should be. That's why I'm on here trying to find out if my model is different?

Slugbabydotcom - Thanks for the correct name for the filling loop. I do not have the instructions/manual for the bolier :( so i think I'm prob best just ringing the plumber.

Cheers

Well search no more.

The 240 and the 280 both use the same method of filling.

Good idea
