As far as I can understand from what Steve has said, he has ALREADY had the diverter valve replaced but now the expansion vessel has started leaking.

Its not clear how much has been charged for replacing the diverter valve.

If we had to take the boiler off the wall to replace the EXV then we would charge about £106 plus about £60 I expect for the EXV.

It would have been better to replace the boiler but you cannot always foresee the outcome when a repair is started.

There are some cases when an insurance based repair is a good idea.
