Worcester 30CDi Combination boiler -

I had an engineer (under one of these cover policies) repair the boiler when the diverter valve went, he also re-pressurised the expansion vessel.

While I have attempted today to arrange an appointment they are not able to until tomorrow. However I wanted to get some feedback from anyone who has experienced the problem before.

The boiler is making some very strange noises, like it has air stuck in it - mainly for the hot water and cuts out then comes back. The noises are akin to banging, air moving about, and splurting.

They came round and did nothing other than tell me it would work its way out. It has done it once since then, will monitor it and call them back - unless it is something that is easy to clean?

Plate heat exchanger blocked, get them back to either clean or replace

It's definitely not that - when he replaced the diverter it was clean I checked it myself. It is definitely air in the system and am inclined to agree with the previous post. However the blow hole doesn't seem to want to blow (excuse the expression).

I will calling them out again tomorrow - it seems to have got progressively worse and now is flashing both lights, which I understand is over heating. Still makes an awful banging noise.
