Hi

I've replaced the PCB in the above boiler. However, when I press the reset button, it is rock hard and doesn't respond. Any ideas, folks?

Cheers.

Darren

Dismantle it find and rectify the cause and put it back together!

Sorry but that is no help whatsoever.

It was 100% the correct advice!

As you discovered yourself.

Best to be thankful to professionals who give their time free to help people.

In that case, I will post the same advice to every single post about boiler problems "Dismantle it, find & rectify the cause & put it back together" (I could even extend the advice to televisions, stereos, hairdryers, etc, etc). It would be 100% correct advice and I can say "I told you so" if the person fixes their boiler/appliance. I will exclude putting an exclamation mark at the end of it though. A bit unnecessary and some might say patronising.

The correct advice in this case would have been, "Make sure your PCB is secured firmly thus enabling the switch to make contact with the circuit". Now, I would have been hugely grateful for that advice and acknowledged his expertise.

I'm not trying to anger anyone but if someone provides advice like that with an exclamation mark at the end, then I don't see how you can expect me to be overly thankful.

Have a good weekend everyone.
