Hello all, my friends ancient 9.24 expansion vessel has splits and water weeping out, i found a web site; boiler spares UK which list the expansion vessel as a switch at 40quid. I searched the part number and it came up with the orange vessel on other sites.
Question for the experianced fitters out there, is it simple enough to change this out? I've drained and filled the system many times to add radiators,
Expect its the same, any issues with these.
The other problem she has been living with is loss of pressure, its probably the tank but may have two losses, she tops it up to 1.25 bar to get hot water, apparently the pressure gauge then climbs to 3 bar. I'm guessing there's another problem any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks

Fairly straight forward to change. The rise in pressure to 3 bar is more than likely due to the failed EV (diaphragm). Change it and all should be OK.
