Hi,
I have a Worcester Boiler (7 yrs old) which seems to be 99% fine.
However, approx once ever other week the boiler will not produce hot water for about a min, then it will come back fine.
No other taps or appliances are using the water during this.
I've caught the boiler whilst it's doing this. It seems to be in an ignition cycle. It goes through the motions of ignition, I hear (what I assume it) the pump kick in - then it stops and tries again. It does this 4 or 5 times then lights and everything is normal again.
There are no warning or service lights on the boiler, pressure is constant and I've even had a new board put in to see if it was that - but it wasn't - it did it again (the board was switched back and I paid nothing)
It's been suggested that the pump is sticking? Does that sound right?
Any one else offer any kind of insight as to what might be wrong?
Thanks!
