Boiler didn't light up by the timer, went straight to lock-out and didn't come on manually. Corgi engineer contacted WB and he re-set the gas sense electrode and checked that it worked manually but he didn't check with the timer or room stat. After manual re-set it stays on for anything from 15-30 minutes then goes straight to lock-out. Engineer coming back to check things again. Any ideas would be helpful.

No guarantees that this will be the same problem but I fitted one of these just over 2 years ago. On the first service I accidentally broke the electrode at the far right and had to replace it. I got called to a problem with it last year and found that the electrode wires were shorting to the casing under the burner.

You asked for any ideas and my biggest idea is to renew the electrodes and wires or at least give them a good checking over. Its a cracking boiler in my opinion but let down somewhat by electrodes and the wires to them.
