I think the boiler must be coming to the end of it's life now!!
We have a Worcester 230i gas boiler.
I have done various repairs to it such as new pressure vessel, PRV and diverter valves.
But the latest has me puzzled.
I have a very slow pressure drop but till i can get the floor up to check a rad line i can live with the 0.1bar drop a week.
I have a small amount of air in the bathroom rad which is checked and sorted regular
Onto the problem
Just recently after putting a demand on it the boiler will knock slightly when the demand stops. Eventually about a month it will trip out the boiler. and will not reset straight away. To reset it I have attached a hose to heat exchanger and this is very aireated. refilling with this open the boiler will the reset.??? This was only done as i had all the pipe work off to change the fitting above the diverter and was unsure if it had been bleed correctly after the rebuild
What would do this?? pump vent screw or the air vent possible cause this
