My boiler is a Worcester CDi combi. The hot water is fine but the heating is not working, this is what happens: the boiler starts and ignites and then the temperature display goes up to just over 70, and then the flame goes out and nothing happens for a long time, until it drops again and then it all happens over again.

There is a digistat room thermostat but it doesn't seem to do anything, and a metal link between SL and LR connected and 240volts is going into the boiler to call for heating demand.

Is there anything non-gas related I can check?

Thanks for your help

If there is a link between SL and LR then the room stat has been disconnected. I would be checking the diverter valve but you should be calling someone in for that unfortunately.
