Hi

We let a shop that has a Worcester Greenstar Junior 24i boiler. The boiler has a digital transmitter fitted which is fully programmable and has the option to Select On and Off.

However, there is a Worcester DT10 RF Thermostat fitted out in the main shop area.

Basically the users don't want programmed heating but use a manual on and off (mostly on entering and leaving the shop).

My question is: How do you know which controller has priority? How do you force one to have priority?

On the Worcester DT10 RF Room Thermostat it is possible to select Manual mode and then change the required temp up and down, however, I would prefer to use the Select on/off controller fitted to the boiler transmitter unit.

I see it is possible to set the Worcester DT10 RF Thermostat to OFF, but it then says all heating functions will be turned off. I was hoping this might allow the boiler transmitter unit to then be used instead?

Possibly the simplest solution will be to put an MT10 mechanical timer on the boiler, but I would be pleased to hear answers to my queries as above.
TIA

Answering my own question, I think!

Apparently holding the "OK" button on the boiler unit for 5 seconds takes control from the room stat.

The controller on the boiler facials only controls the hot water pre heat function, it has no control over heating what so ever. You can use the room stat on manual only by pressing the arrow button on the left under the display once, you can then set the stat manually. It will stay at that set temp unless you change it manually. Hope that helps?

The unit we have on the boiler, in place of the MT10, has full central heating control and programming and 10 pages of documentation on how to program it. When I spoke to Worcester they said the transmitting room units were fitted when the boilers were installed in awkward places and it was easier to set the controls there.

I needed to know how to get one unit to take priority and this is done by holding the large OK button on the boiler programming unit for 5 seconds.

There is also hot water ECO control.

Are you sure you dont have a DT20?

We fit these boilers every day and the description you've given doesnt match.

Thanks everyone.

It was a DT10 transmitter/receiver pair on the Worcester but has been replaced with an MT10 so that it can be manually turned on or off by the people who rent the shop. I have also set a three hour night period on the timer which they know how to use if a very cold night is expected.

They had taken the batteries out of the the room stat, (which had been constantly played around with) so somehow all control had gone to the DT10 unit on the boiler.
