Worcester green star 28i junior no hot water

Hi all,

I currently have no water flow from any of my hot taps, mixer taps on cold flow perfectly fine, if I turn them to hot then I get zero water at all. Bath has a separate hot tap which also has no flow.

Tested the heating, that works fine!

Any ideas what this could be? I have a 16 month old baby and a pregnant wife so trying to sort asap! Unfortunately my usual plumber is away for the weekend!

Are you getting water but it's just not hot ,or no water whatsoever flowing from hot taps ?

No water at all!

Either no water is going into the boiler ,or none is coming out. Are there any isolation valves on the cold supply to the boiler that may have been accidentally closed ?

No, all was working fine this morning and I have checked all the valves! I will remove the incoming supply tomorrow and check flow, assuming all is well is it likely to be something like the plate heat exchanger blocked?

If no isolation valves on the cold supply to the boiler have been closed ,then you can rule out the supply . The issue is within the boiler . It's possible that the plate hex is blocked but I would consider an abrupt and complete loss of water flow to be caused by a physical obstruction such as a failed part disintegration blocking a waterway. Your probably going to need an engineer to visit.

If it was working fine this morning, and no other reported issues, and definitely no isolation valves closed, then it could be the flow turbine on that model, but as per Terry, would require an engineers visit.

So it turns out that the cover had popper off the combimate which isolates an internal valve! Glad I looked a bit harder before I called anyone out! Hope this helps someone in the future, thanks to those that helped!
