Hello!

I am very new to this, and would like some help....

My boiler is about 3 years old and so far I haven't had many problems with it; I did have some pressure issues over the years, mainly due to leaks ( whixh I found, and sorted out, one after the other... Talk about "chasing the leak"!!).
However, new problem today.
I have a room thermostat, in one of the rooms downstairs and I regularly play with the temperature (I set it at 16 at night, then up to 19 when we're home, and down if we are out). This evening, the radiators just stopped.
Now, as the hot water still works fine, I am assuming the boiler is actually working fine. Could it therefore be a problem with the thermostat? I have set it "up", and the little flame sign comes on, but the boiler is not responding.
I don't think it is wireless or battery operated (it is fixed to the wall), but I am reluctant to open the box as I am not sure what I am supposed to be checking.... And electricty isn't really my forte!
Any help, advice, support would be gratefully received..... Thank you....

Get someone competent to by-pass your stat. Will only take a few minutes then you will be able to rule it in or out. Is it just a digital stat or programmable stat. Do you have a separate anologue clock on the boiler for instance. Is the little pin/lever corresponding with the call i.e. constant on or timed on? A bit more information on your set up would help.

It's a digital stat I think?? It only sets the temperature. There is a clock (programmable) on the boiler itself. And yes, the boiler is set to "ON" rather than "timed".

However, it worked this morning.... the pressure seems to be going rather high though, very quickly. It may be my fault for putting it up a bit yesterday, so I may have to bleed the top radiator a bit later on!!
I've turned it all off when I left for work. Didn't want it to be doing funny things when I'm out.

Thanks for your reply though :D
