Hi, I wonder if anyone can help.
My 6 year-old Worecester-Bosch 24i combi boiler won't heat up the HW unless the CH is running. Even then, it takes 2-3 mins for luke warm water to come through.
The problem originally emerged after we had the boiler serviced, and the engineer replaced a faulty PCB board, as the hot water temp was a bit intermittent. Also, after replacing the PCB, the pump or some other electrical part seems to constantly run. Even when the CH is turned off, you can still hear something whirring away.
The original engineer came back for a second look after we complained, and now says that the boiler is scaled up, and I might as well get a new one that is better at coping with hard water.
However, on seeking a second opinion, another engineer has diagnosed the PCB (that we've already had replaced!) as being faulty, saying that this is wrongly driving water to the CH rather than the HW.
Who is right? Could it be anything else? Any advice / second opinions appreciated!
Thanks.
