im not sure if this should be in here BUT im not too keen on it meself.. anyone give any advice on safety harnesses etc what i can purchase for doing roof work ie flues etc
the thing is now more and more people want combi's etc in the loft with vertical flues and we gotta obey our payers. personally i prefer to work on boilers downstairs on a solid floor so to speak where you can see em and check em.
If you're just poking a vertical flue through, and have cut out the batten(s)inside the roof ready, a guy on top will only be there 20 minutes, including a couple of trowels of mortar.
I just pay a local roofer about £70, and put £100 on the bill. I find they like doing it as an on-the-way-home job.
