Working out amount of sharp sand

Hello,

I wanted to estimate how much sharp sand i need to lay as a base. The area is 7m x 7.5m and will need to be about 25mm deep. Any advice on who is a good supplier is appreciated too. I will need to order in ton bags rather than small bags.

Approximately 2.625 tonnes.

Note that 'ton' bags aren't a ton. The last few I bought weighed in at 800kgs from Travis Perkins.

For your quantity you'll need 4 possibly 3 with some small make up bags. I think I paid £39 a bag but prices vary. I could get a loose ton delivered for £32 but you'll loose some to rain if it's not used straight away.
