Distance from CU to Shed is 6M. nothing big plugged in there ( no welders for instance, just normal hand power tools like drills, jigsaw etc.
Cable will go underneath the floor of the Kitchen/Bathroom extension of a two-up two-down terraced house and through the wall directly to the adjoining Brick-Built shed ( using the end-wall of the extension for one side of the shed ) and terminate on a 6-way CU with an RCD fitted.

Would the house earth carried from the CU in the cpc be OK for this or would I have to provide a new one situated in the shed ?

As far as I know I have a TNC supply if that needs to be taken into account.

This cable is going to replace a totally unsuitable feed that I found which consists of 4mm single cables taped together. It was noticed by RF Lighting in my original thread HERE

Thanks as usual guys.

So the shed is effectively part of the house and the cable stays indoors right? in that case T&E should be fine. Assuming the cable is kept away from insulation 6mm should be fine for a circuit up to 40A.

Using the house earth is fine and desirable since the "shed" is effectively part of the house.

If there are any metal pipes coming into the shed that do not come from the house then those pipes should be main bonded back to the houses main earth terminal. The earth in 6mm or 10mm T&E is not large enough to be used as part of the main bonding system.

Yes Plugwash, at no point will the cable be outside of the building.

There are hot & cold water pipes into the shed but these also come through from the bathroom. I've checked all the bonding points in the house and all the pipework is correctly done.

Thanks again.
