Would you buy a Viessmann?

Funny, I was looking at one of their heat pumps with a client last week, Christ, I could smell the build quality of it!!

However, there's so many other gas boiler manufacturers offering the same kit for a lot less money. We never fit their gas boilers.

Why would a customer be looking at heat pumps with you your'e not MCS registered and you havent a clue about heat pumps :?

I'm sorry to say we are MCS registered and as said it's a complete rip-off. If the RHI & feed-in-tariff goes t.ts up, as I think it will, no one will need to be MCS approved. We also have been installing them since the early 80s, so for pure experience alone I could leave you standing mate.

Calm down ymoyw, it's not all the sweaties, it's just this particular troll who has been barred under a number of aliases including dickpuller, drdrivel and bigburner.
He is not in the cc, because he was barred according to his latest excuse, and the one before that was that it had cost him a lot to acquire his "enormous amount of knowledge" and therefore did not feel like sharing it for free.
The truth of course is that he has never been in the cc at all because he is not a rgi, and never has been.

I am very sorry indeed to see that a genuine enquiry about an excellent boiler has degenerated into such pointless, unpleasant drivel. Haven't you guys got anything better to do?

to be fair days have gone when older boilers lasted, and some like the old baxi 552s and ideal mexicos are still going strong. i only install viessmann at the moment. good boiler. but to be honest time will tell. and sadly energy efficiency. cost more to a customer in repairs in the long run. after you,ve ripped out there old trust worthy non efficient boiler, that was probably still going strong. and would last just as long if not longer than there newer all singing and dancing piece of junk.

No doubt in my mind that none of the mainstream steamers will last as long as a properly maintained bermuda or mexico.
But with an overall efficiency that nearly halves a gasbill compared to the old beasts, you can hardly argue that a mexico is a better choice when that bill is heading for £1000 per year average.
If the current oil price hike does not reverse by the end of summer, we can expect another hefty increase around November; 20% or so would not surprise me at all.
