Then I'd suggest you did not do it correctly.

Hope you spotted this bit >>
" If more than 17 incorrect keys are entered, then
the unit will revert to normal Alarm On mode."

Thanks. What does 'Power down control' mean?

At Reset Procedure - released battery and followed instructions, there was no tone heard and 'enter Code' did not light up. Want to start over again so as to follow correct procedure.

power down

means switch off the backup battery with the switch under the rubber plug at the back, and disconnect the mains charger.

Then you plug it back in and switch the battery back on.

Why won't you tell us what the problems were?

Hello again JohnD

Managed to get back to factory default setting - a miracle in itself! So thank you so much for your help.
Think we were in too much of a hurry to set up, found instructions unclear, but have since printed off instructions from web-sit that are the same but have better illustrations - real pictures.

Will start from scratch tomorrow as weather too good to waste - want to get out in garden. Probablly need you again tomorrow !

Linda

I'd recommend laying out all the components on the table while you set it up, then you can walk-test it before fixing to the walls. Write the sensor number on the back of each sensor to save confusion. Wrap the siren in cushions and put it in a cupboard as it is very loud. Use rubber bands or tape to hold the tamper springs in place.
