hi i bought a replacement cylinder for my aluminium byfolding doors. the cylinder is a yale antisnap safety cylinder. the first thing i noticed is two studs poping out sidewise and i am not sure how to get the cylinder in the lock with these protruding unless they are suppose to get inside somehow. Anyone has got any clues?

Hi,

There's a video here
- it looks like you fit it from the outside, so the "hardened grip defenders" go past the uPVC, but press against the metal internals? It does look like they have had to mangle the outside hole a bit to allow these to pass though.

Hope this helps.

Nick

Yes that what it looks like. Many thanks for the video. I will need to grind the gap a bit in order for the studs to get in.
