There's something I'm not doing quite right.. (probably buying from B&Q)
I am on my third toilet flush unit which is a complex piece of plastic with a red "bellows" type plastic cylinder that drops down the centre of it.
Except that it doesn't drop.

On flushing, if one is heavy handed the "bellows" is pushed to the top and stays there, allowing water to constantly flow. I assume the blue air trap and plastic lever arrangement is meant to stop this from happening, but it doesn't.

Am I meant to calibrate this somehow?

Anyway This is the third on bought, and I now have to repair the ceiling underneath again.

Are you buying the correct one for your toilet. :?:

Might be best to take a pic of the cistern and measurement etc and ask your local plumbers merchant.

Quite straightforward to fit.

It all fits perfectly.
Nothing unusual about the cistern.
B&Q assure me it should work.
