Hello

I have a Yorkstar 20 boiler that has been functioning well for many years. Recently it has started locking out intermittently. Sometimes it will run for half a day after resetting. Other times only for a few minutes.

Any ideas what to try testing/replacing first?

Thanks.

Full service to include a full clean out, oil filters cleaned including the fuel pump. New nozzle, check and reset oil pressure, check and set up with a flue gas analyser.

It's recently had a full service and our local oil boiler man has checked all the obvious things. He's now at a loss as to what is happening. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these boilers and knew of any common faults that would cause these symptoms. I read somewhere else on here about the ignition electrodes being unreliable. Is this a likely cause?

Thanks.

Which burner do you have?
Has he checked the flue integrity for contamination of combustion air?
If electrodes are clean and not cracked then I doubt they would give a problem. The motor capacitor could be a problem in intermittent lock outs.
