From sound and feel it seems drum bearings have gone. Found this advert for bearings and seals not too expensive so worth changing I think.

However I see there are a few Zanussi 1250's listed so a little worried about ordering the wrong kit. And also have a mauled right hand and wonder how hard the job of changing them is?

Washer at moment still running so I have some time to sort it out I have stripped washing machines before I damaged my hand and some were easy others were really hard to work on.

I don't have a bearing puller so not sure what I can lash together to remove them.

Any advise please. I have worked as both a car mechanic and electrician and before damaging my hand would have ploughed right in. But a little more wary now. If likely to be a problem likely would ask my son to help.

Post the machine PNC number (on the door sticker) so we know exactly which model you have.
This is a difficult, time consuming, & economically questionable repair on an older machine. If you have an injured hand on top of things you will really be struggling.
