My zanussi dws 939 doesnt seem to be desolving the tablet during a wash. There' hot water and everything seems to work but the catch where the tablet goes seems weak. it does lock shut but something isn't right. Any ideas? do i need to replace the spring? surely if it's released it should desolve?

Does the dispenser open during the wash?
If it does then the spray arms aren't rotating properly or there's not enough water pressure.
Check spray arms for blockages and obstructions. Dangly perfume things are notorious for this.
If you find there's a lack of water then it's likely the fins on the wash pump have been damaged.
