Hope someone can advise on this before I spend my money, my washer stuck on its cycle and would not empty the water, it was clicking from the mainboard, took this off and the circuit board has tell tale blackening. The pipes are free and not blocked, filter free. Should I replace the unit only or would anything else likley need looking at, pump looks intact.

Think you are right, will try this first. I`m not sure what I can get a new board for, have seen £109. inc VAt and P&P. A new board may not be the right otpion for a 3 yrs old washing machine, I may as well try the soldering option first, ( my tumble dryer heater unit went went last month, if the dishwasher starts playing up I will be looking out for a Gremlin detector)
