Currently having problems with my washer drier - approx 4 years old. Very temperamental on spin drying, sometimes does, sometimes doesn't. Any idea on the problem and how I can fix it?
if the water is getting pumped out i cant be the pump unless its partially blocked. i would have a look anyway to eliminate it. remove the drain plug from the bottom of the machine and inspect inside for foreign objects. be aware that you may loose some water when you undo the cap.
if its clear then i suspect the motor bushes to be worn. depending on how competent you are this can be done diy.
Only issues are with spin dry. Motor spins up to speed, and then cuts out.
I've checked the brushes - they are curved and pretty smooth on the mating surface with around 10mm usable length left. Also, checked the rear end of motor, and the screw-in insert looks intact, but no way of checking the sensor (2 yellow wires come from it). I've also re-soldered every joint on the main controller board to eliminate dry joints as a potential cause.
All other aspects of the programmes work as expected - drum fills & empties etc. It was suggested that the pressure switch was at fault or the feed to it was blocked - but has checked out fine.
I have run both with and without load to eliminate balance as cause.
