I discovered a leak in the kitchen yesterday and think it may be the washing machine. The rubber drum seal is torn at the top - could this tear be the cause of water leaking behind the machine under the vinyl flooring? The washing machine and dishwasher sit side by side- what else could be the cause of the leak? Nothing on the floor surface but when I lifted the vinyl flooring it was soaked underneath.
