My Zanussi ZSF 6161 is not heating so I googled it and most common thread is the heating element so I ordered 1 from ebay & replaced it. But still not heating. Now it could be that the actual replacement is faulty but it is new.
I plan to make up a jig to test the old part & make up wires to test the heater is getting power during the cycle but that will be next week. Is there other things to consider other than the heater?

Found the problem - Dry joint on 1 of the relay pins.

Re-soldering will give you a temporary repair, changing the relay a lasting one.Relay available from RS etc.

I've resoldered it. Going by other connectors say wasn't soldered properly in the 1st place but did manage to last 7 years(surprisingly).
If happens again I now know where to look., And it has new heating element & a spare!
