Last month the parliamentary committee on intel and security found the threat of attacks and assassinations from Iran to be similar to that of Russia

Israel are competing genocide. Pretty much the entire planet is in agreement with this now.

The problem that I see with all of this recognising Palestine as a state, is that hamas does not recognise Israel as a state and by the west putting pressure on Israel and blackmailing them that if Israel continues this war then we will recognise Palestine as a sovereign state, I see this as playing directly into hamas arms. It is giving them exactly what they want. It doesnt give the hostages much of a chance as hamas will not be wanting to give those up, It is like telling hamas it is ok to slaughter 1300 jews and we will recognise you. Israel is our allie, hamas is not.

You misunderstand the point that I am making, Israel is our Allie and so we should be looking at better ways to stop them rather than to back them into a corner and look like they have been defeated by hamas, which I am sure hamas will see it as this. Yes get Israel to stop and get a cease fire but not this way.
