I am trying to fit a new ceiling light, I have 4red, 4black wires. The light fitting (rose) has 8 connections in a series of 2, 3 and 3. I think the middle 3 connections are for a loop. I think that the bulb holder wires brown and blue fit on the outside connections ( small holes in which the wire is placed then screwed up to tighten). What i need to know is where do the other wires go? There is also a dimmer switch fitted, which is for two lights. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

you say "trying to fit a new ceiling light" what do you mean? are you tring to fit an aditional light or changing an existing fitting?
