Hi mateys, guess you know I am not working earning etc...so natrually spend a lot of time at home....I was chatting earlier on with next door oap nighnours.

During chatting I mentioned I got to cut the grass.but I will do it on sunday evening when there is less traffic..

she said on leaving..."dont forget to do your work..ie. cut the grass on a sunday...when there is les traffic and when no one will see you"

should I take this as an insult, they are friendly anyway. but is this rude. or was she right? after all i did want to cut it sun eve as there is less people about we are on a main road also.

or was it a friendly cheeky remark

and is it me....my problem I have of wanting to do this when less people about...i dont want everyone i know in ipswich to drive past and see me cutting grass? and huffing and puffing........I mean this is normal yes under the circumstances..not working no money I naturally feel embaressed?.

pleae your opinions

You're embarrassed about cutting the grass? What are you on about als?

I've been out of work in the past. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

That was just a bit of friendly banter, your statement that you were going to cut the grass on Sunday when there was less traffic about, sparked off a gentle leg pull, as if it mattered who saw you.
Don't take offence it was harmless.

I certainly think you have a self esteem issue. As for cutting the grass, it's actually better to cut it when the sun is lower/later in the day...
The best time of the day to mow is late in the day or during the evening. The fact is that mowing damages the plant and it will take a day or two for the grass to fully recover. Mowing in the evening provides about 12 hours of respite for the grass from the sun. Mowing in the morning means that the stressed grass will be subjected to the sun much quicker and if there is morning due on the lawn the grass will be cheated from the rejuvenating effects of the moisture because mowing will hasten evaporation.

Thats what I though, that cutting in the eve would be better..thanks for the logical commen sense which goes with it...no I can tell them the facts...if asked.

I do have a self esteem problem...a really bad one what with my family situation...and also no money no work...for over 1 year and having so many restrictions due to money or lack of it...

any tips for this?

Well to me this is obviously a declaration of war. I say you call up your cousin and go Tel Aviv on their ass!

Al, I think it was a bit of english leg pulling meaning don't let anyone from the DSS see you doing any work if you are claiming benefits.

Take it for the joke is was meant to be.
