Accenta 8 keypad inop

You want to know what the problem is on this forum. Look back at your posts.... microprocessor same as a computer .... The next thing.. In a post a few minutes ago I have asked this plumber to stop picking my brains... I have done it on countless occasions but when he can't answer he pretends to know by saying " Come on now, you know the answer" and I hear this day in day out from this lot. The microprocessor in a security system is entirely different to that in a personal computer. Full stop, we don't want to hear it again. As for you plumber, ANSWER THE QUESTION !!! conclusive proof, not dithering, you are showing yourself up yet again. As I said before, you want this topic shut down because you don't know the methods, techniques and trade trouble shooting methods. If you don't know it, then no one else is allowed to answer, go ahead and blow up his control panel, I'm sure he'll love you lot for it.

You just aren't getting it are you?? The alarm has crashed and will come back to life when you reboot it. We are tired of telling you the same thing over and over and over and over.

If you choose to believe that it is knackered - then get a new one. If not - then do as we tell you. Dithering around listening to old Daisykins is futile.

only you said its crashed no one else , no one else has stated it need rebooting.,just you.please dont reply again ,i dont want your imput thanks,

I'm gonna have to laff.

There is no other way Daisykins.

If you think there is - then let's hear it.

Everyone has told you the same thing apart from Daisy.

Bernard even writes books on the subject.

Europlex has been in the industry over forty years.

We can't tell you any more if you don't want to know.

OP, why don't you just try it and prove joe wrong seeing as you seem so sure he (and everyone else barring one) is wrong?

What have you got to lose? You've currently got a knackered alarm. If it works then great you've got a working alarm. If it doesn't, never mind. You've still got a knackered alarm, but at least you know it's not just a crashed system.

You've NEVER been to a crashed system?

To be honest the only books I wrote were user and service manuals for the equipment and systems I designed during my 45 year career.

Europlex is a a youngster with only forty years.

Bernard refuses to give me a ISBN number to read his so called books, he does not write about security, if he writes at all, Europlex does not install security systems, I have that from a good source. You claim to have installed 1000 systems in 25 years, That's good isn't it ? Well, no it's not. It works out that it takes you on average 8 days and 5 hours to install a system. A friend of mine who works for himself says that he must install at least two systems a week or his family starve, simple as that. You take 16 days and ten hours to install two systems, that's nearly three weeks, still proud of your boasts ? Now answer the question. State your evidence categorically that the keypad has bit the dust. This man is waiting for answers. ANSWER THE QUESTION !!

It hasn't - the system has crashed. However the OP won't believe it - so he'll have to buy another one.

I'm sure he does other things in between fitting systems. Do you never service, repair or alter any of your systems?

Do you never do installs on big sites? I was woking on a site recently. There were 4 guys there installing the alarm and CCTV for THREE MONTHS.

Just answer the question Joe ? Prove now that the keypad is dead and gone. If you can't answer this time, then we'll take it that you don't know.

I've just asked you three questions. Why won't you answer them?

We told the OP how to reboot the system. This will show that the keypad has (or not) crashed, but he seems unwilling to try it for some reason?

I'm not sure how any one other than the OP can show if the keypad hhas crashed or not?

The reason is my friend is that if the pad is infact dead I don't have means to shut the alarm up once the tamper has tripped , I will wait till battery arrives and follow instructions , no one had advised what to do if I reboot and iam left with a alarm going off and no way of turning off , iam constantly told to turn power off then reset and then turn alarm off via pad , great if the power to pad is restored ,,,, but if not

Well get someone in then with a set of ladders. You clearly aren't up to the job.

".... It hasn't - the system has crashed.... "

I think you ought to look back a few posts to remind yourself exactly what you said. It was only when I made certain observations that you changed your mind, which is very common in your case.
