In some respects, I think having a much more free forum is good, those with rules upon rules make a forum a dull place, and one that may not last.
Having said that, seems to be a handful of people who are obsessed with Islam etc. Those who want to post video's, dodgy views and also those who are obsessed with reacting to it. I can't help but think that by reacting with name calling, racist labeling etc just adds fuel to the fire. It all seems to be more about point scoring and less about actually talking & listening and exchanging different views.

It's a no-win situation at the moment.

Sadly I fear that it is also something to do with the number of posts affecting advertising revenue (Though I do admit that I am no expert on such things)

Yes, it's in the news a lot and it's important and so very complex. However, should that not invite a more balanced discussion? More balanced than either 'kick em out, close the borders' or 'you're racist for talking about Islam' kind of posts that seem to be here? Neither get anyone anywhere and it just keeps going on and on without any listening or real, interesting, useful, informative discussion!

Yes, I'd agree. But don't forget that blightymam also falls into that category of a potential sleeper username. She has been relatively inactive for years. Yet all of a sudden, she springs into inordinate activity. Makes you wonder. How many more sleeper usernames are there?
It casts great doubt on the integrity of the posters, and the integrity of the forum.

I've already told you the truth, some months ago. I only posted about DIY, I never even looked at other threads. Then one day I decided to have a look around. I also now try and share my limited knowledge in the gardening forum too, something I never did before.
I've never been banned, I've only ever been me on here yet I understand you've been on here for some years under different usernames? So what gives with you?

When anyone conflates any religion with terrorism, etc, it becomes islamophobia.
Misrepresentation of any religion is bigoted.
It's like saying that all Catholics are responsible for the IRA atrocities. It's nonsense. Those making the statements know it's nonsense, yet they willingly still make those statements, knowing that they are bigoted, untrue, inflammatory, and offensive.
