Thats true, leavers didnt appreciate the insidious nature of the EU. The EU tentacles pervade through everything. There is no way to escape, whatever we do, we will have to pay for Junckers Cognac in perpetuity. Cheers

And yes it is true, leavers didnt understand the level of integration the UK has with Europe. Remainers constantly bang on about how those that vote leave were stupid, but the fact is, the average guy in the street has no understanding of the EU. Remainers should blame Cameron for pandering to Tory Eurosceptics.
The EU may not be what the leave campaign portrayed, but it has become a hugely powerful and rich organisation that suffers from mission creep.
How is it emotional to say the EU pervades every aspect of our life. Brexit is showing that it does, nobody knew how much before. I am pointing out that is the reason we cant leave, but leavers had no idea how integrated the EU is with the UK.

Does the EU set our income taxes? No. So it doesn't pervade every aspect of our lives. And there are countless more examples.

Even one of the leading Brexiteers in the cabinet did not understand the complexity and admitted it in the recent Chequers meeting.
In fact, he admitted that he thought it would be easy. No wonder he resigned!

They will be quoting chapter and verses from the referendum campaign next.
They no longer have any sensible arguments to support their beliefs so they are reduced to speculative gutter-press allegations against EU politicians.

Im not sure you refer to, David Davis? He resigned because he couldnt support chequers agreement.
