Modifications and insurance

I improved the hard to reach area. The easy reach area was easy to clean with the pressure bottle. The clarke asphalt degreaser was quite useless. I got some on my skin and it didn't sting at all. In the end, I thought I would be no worse off just using washing up liquid and water. That's what I will use in the future. The halfords alloy wheel cleaner I used to have was pretty good. It stung the skin even after 50% water dilution. They don't sell that any more.

Nah he means he uses a garage with strangely low standards and/or they get a kickback from any garages who get the work to get a failed car through next time.

I'm not judging it one way or the other. I'm just saying that it is a thing.
What I meant was. A standard test with free retest gives the same end result, except you pay at the initial test.

I'm guessing no pass no pay just means you pay at the 2nd visit unless its a total disaster.

But no pass no pay, at some lower standards places might encourage an "easy pass".

In my area nobody advertises no pass no pay, but there are lots of £25 mots. To make money they must need to find work.?

No matter how it's dressed up its all about money through the door

We tried no pass, no pay and so did a few others in our locality but later we all switched to pay on first test at the same time with a free retest within a couple of weeks. Reason being was that we found that some people were trying all of us to see if one station might miss something or let it go so that they can get the mot fee!

Keep laughing. Mechs here will be out of a job. No pass no pay means I get extra time to fix car before second test.
Not a good sign if you need extra time to get a pass.

The level for a pass is quite low. To fail, especially badly, sound like your maintenance is not as good as you try to make us believe.

I tried to make you believe I don't do maintenance. It's not getting across since people don't pay attention in this thread. My DIY's are slow, a 6 month window works for me.

And the state of your car sounds appalling.

It can't get through an mot. Shouldn't be on the road.

But you have noticed people don't pay attention to your comments
