Hi just a quick question that i hope somebody can answer.I am having a new kitchen fitted which involves adding an extra socket and moving two others.and also fitting lights under the units.The fitters electrician has been out today and says he cant do any of the work until i change my fuse...

just had a combi fitted,when running a bath,only a drip of hot water is produced from the other hot taps!.Is it just a case of upgrading bath hot water pipe to 15mm as it is 22mm at the mo? and what sort of job is it to upgrade?.the boiler is just across the landing from the bathroom. :?

Got a vaillant 831 combi, it has a wired room stat fitted.What sort of job would it be to disconnect it and have a wireless type?.or would this ba corgi job? :?

Combi fitted for a couple of weeks now,hot water is a cloudy colour.Thought it might have been because it was new!.Is this normal? Thanks :?

Thanks for the reply,its only been fitted a week!.Its a vaillant 831,ill be on to him in the morning!.Bad workmanship is spoiling a really good product.RIP my old back boiler,20 odd years of service and never missed a beat! :oops:

I have mentioned it to him he says it will be ok!!.Im no plumber or engineer,but i know water will not flow upwards! :D .Wont do my boiler any good the way it is,will it! :(

Thanks for the info,but shouldnt have the installer done this!!!.Also found that the condense pipe is not flowing downwards,if i touch the pipe water then drains off,would this cause any long term damage??? Thanks once again. :cry:

Vaillant 831 eco combi,upastairs rads are nice and hot but downstairs are cool and almost cold at the bottom of the rads.I have tried bleeding the rads.If i turn all upstairs rads off the downstairs then become red hot top and bottom!.Any ideas?.Thanks :(

I had my combi installed earlier this week which needed a gas pipe run from downstairs to upstairs,the fitter utilised one of the old heating pies for part of the new pipe run ,correct bore pipe,but is this allowed??!!.Also the apprentice made the pipe from the meter to the existing heating...

Thanks for the info.Never knew about the pipe upgrades needed!Do you mean the hot water piping will need renewing all the way to the bath as mine is the larger piping.?.Just downloaded that info from vaillant,52 pages!.Good bedtime reading!.Thanks again :D

didn't mean to upset anyone! :oops: .Just wanted a few pointers thats all!

You could always check that the clutch fork and pedal pivots are smooth in operation.All lot of the trouble,i think ,is the routing of the cable from the left to right hand drive conversion.If you think about it the left hand drive cars have one nice straight cable run to the gearbox! :)
