Brexit mission creep

In a statement issued on Thursday, the EU’s executive said it would ask member states on the EU Council for permission to negotiate a bloc-wide youth mobility agreement with London — while accusing the U.K. of attempting to cherry-pick select member states.“The United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union has hit young people in the EU and the U.K. who would like to study, work and live abroad particularly hard,” said Maroš Šefčovič, the European Commission vice-president in charge of relations with the U.K. “Today, we take the first step towards an ambitious but realistic agreement between the EU and the U.K. that would fix this issue," he added. "Our aim is to rebuild human bridges between young Europeans on both sides of the Channel.”

Gammons would rather send in the Paras to fight them on the beaches rather than allow a new generation to find common ground willing to co-operate for the common good.

The stupidity of the old UK, Wail reading gammons, never ceases to astonish.

Basic arithmetic ain't yo thang.
FFS, go back to school boyo. Brexit costs the UK 4% GDP per year and that is just for starters. And it doesn't end. Year on year the UK will continue to lose out to the shít that is Brexit.

Upside - Zilch.

Not quite like the days they enjoyed before Bre*it...

However, it said any deal would not replace the freedom of movement the U.K. gave up when it left the bloc, which resulted in new barriers for Brits looking to move abroad. It also said the deal would be distinct to the U.K. rejoining the Europe-wide Erasmus+ program, which had previously made it easier for students to study abroad.

The official statistics show that our balance of trade with the EU itself has improved, and we have improved our world exports relative to other nations, including France and Netherlands. And we are one of the three world capitals of AI development - whereas the EU is an innovation dead zone and getting worse.

So I'm afraid you're talking a load of shyt.

If you want this country to be poorer and run by bent socialists in a foreign country then by all means vote for rejoining if you're given the opportunity. But don't waste your breath trying to persuade me when you have no data to support you.

Really? Improved from what and when?

Irrelevant to the 4% hit on GDP boyo. The UK will always be in negative arrears doe to your shítty Brexit.

Oh, you mean the recent blip. The one a recent article says will only be temporary. lol.

It is a terrible idea and only intended to benefit them.

They want access to our more innovative economy to help the EU's gross youth unemployment problems and they want to be able to dump their scummy new citizens who they stupidly allowed in. There's no way most of the new arrivals given citizenship in Germany and Sweden would choose those two if given the opportunity to come to London. Neither of those countries even have cities that meet our provincial ones.

The UK government has, for once, sensibly realised we should pursue our own interests and shouldn't be taking any rubbish from batshit nations like Belgium, which have an islamist problem even worse than our own.

As usual, you're too busy smoking the whacky baccy and thinking in vague terms. The EU elite cares about the EU elite. It doesn't care about Europe or its ordinary people, and it certainly doesn't care about us. Only a naive fool would believe that.

Do you have any evidence for what GDP would have been if we'd stayed in the EU?

Talking shyt again.
