It doesn't matter whether "these courts" have any legal standing or not though, does it? If those women think enough / are "respectful enough / are scared enough of the perceived authority of those courts, the ruling is, to all intents and purposes, "Law".

That's very true. The only way these women will gain their equality with men is to take the matter into their own hands. Thankfully, despite pressure from parents and family, we see more and more young women (Jews and even muslims) beginning to rebel and decide for themselves. They are to be applauded.

Not Islam...not their leadership...not themselves... They blame the countries in which they are HAPPY! And they want to change the countries in which they're happy, to be like the countries they came from, where they were unhappy.

Try to find logic in that.

..but, as usual, no distinction is made between the 'ordinary' people who are muslim and the 'nutters' who are in charge of islam.

It seems quite apparent to me that if a lot of 'sensible' muslims decide to escape the oppression, in whichever country they happen to have been born, by coming here, or a similar country, then those in charge, in the original country, will despatch some fundamental bully-boys to ensure that the escapers are kept in 'the faith'.

After all, it wouldn't look good, would it, if all muslims in muslim countries were miserable and treated badly and all the ones who had escaped were really happy living under our rules.
