Gents,
Got a Potterton Flow Sure + oil fired combi and I can't understand why its hot water production is so unpredictable. More often than not I have to run off 5mins plus of water before I get any reasonably hot water. Eventually if I run it for long enough and with a very gentle flow I can sometimes get some decent hot water.
It was suggested that my shower NRV was letting through cold water into hot flow but I have replaced the NRV, also I have just put on a new flow switch (£85 if you need one, only needed due to cracked housing) and the boiler has just been serviced.
Could it be a thermostat ? they look a little tricky to swap out with that copper line they are attached to.
Any suggestions would be very gratefully received.
Regards
