OK, have now got the door entry contact working but.

Even though i have set Full Set entry Time (sec) to 30 it only gives me about 3-5 seconds before sounding alarm.
Conducted walk test and opening closing door activates the zone ok.
In the texacom R8 installation manual i can't see any other timer.........


Could it be i have to walk passed a PIR to get to keypad and that is setting it off?


EDIT: Now set the PIR i walk passed to inhibit entry rather than guard and works ok.
What exactly is the difference between inhibit entry and guard?

Guard = Active at all times.
Inhibit = not active in entry timer unless timer has expired.
