Just shy of 4 hours to London from leeds isn't it? Could be on site for half eight, you'd be back in the van before noon with just a lesuirely drive home in the afternoon :p

Used to commute London but I'm getting too old for it these days! Anything over 3 hours I like to drive down the night before and be well rested for the days work ahead :)

Update
Well was in the area so popped round too have a look, 2L2.5 cable was less than 200 mm long and in tight corner, meggar showed cores to copper sheaving, down to about 5 megohms, stripped about 50 mill off and read over 100 meg, however other end found too be just pushed into a 20mm hole in a new plastic dist board, thus had no earth and was still connected to a 16amp mcb via the rcd of a split load board.
Anyway glanded into galv box, for OP to get extended or whatever, earthing nuts fitted both ends with flylead to the DB earth bar.

This was really some great work and it showed how poor the previous job was done. Many thanks for your help! Much appreciated
