When they're spoken?

We must certainly give thanks to Gerrydelasel for re-opening this topic which has been withering away for nearly a month.

I don't know why he pretends that he wanted to use the term, and why he pretends that somebody stopped him. Why did he lie?

Yes when they are spoken. One is a large primate the other is type of warfare amongst other things.

Did he pretend any of that. Or did you make that up too?

Are you still pretending you haven't read the link?

Was the comment that the link refers to, spoken, or written?

Did he pretend any of that.

Here's my question:

False.

I have repeatedly asked for "something you want to do, that you think you can't because of what you call Political Correctness"

Surely there is somebody, somewhere, among those who moan about Political Correctness that has actually got something to moan about? Or are they all just regurgitating stories they're heard about from the right-wing media?

Come on. let's have a real-life example from personal experience.

Do you honestly believe that Gerry's is his "real life example" "from personal experience" of something that he wanted to do?

Go and read his post Today at 6:19 PM

Surely no commentator would be daft enough to use 'gorilla' when referring to a black player.

I have read the link:

Part of it is:
Adler claims he described Williams as having a “guerrilla” style of play rather than a “gorilla” style of play, the latter of which was interpreted as a racist remark and led to his dismissal following a Jan. 18 match.

Thinking it was the non-existent latter is solely in the minds and the fault of those doing the interpreting.

No, but why can other examples not be given of what has happened - and are now things of which Gerry and we must be aware?

That you put "you" in the question was just a clever restricting get-out meaning you can discount anything which did not happen to Gerry himself, wasn't it?

Fair game for the professionally offended it seems.

What's more, the 'you' was originally directed at EFL, and yet JohnD now seems to think the concept of PC censorship now applies only to me and me alone. Weird.

Oh, was it?

Oh well, here goes, then.

I have never personally experienced racism either.
JohnD will presumably try and persuade me that it too therefore does not exist.

I think I have, well sort of. I'm half Greek, but the kids at school couldn't get their heads round that, so I got rechristened as Manny (as in Manny Cohen from never mind the quality feel the width) and got all the Jewish jokes instead; does that qualify I wonder.

I once told an election canvasser that I was going to vote Conservative because I was a socialist.

He said I was politically incorrect.

He was not dismissed, he was dropped. he did not have a contract.
Also, he saw fit to apologise for the comment prior to his legal action. Why did he apologise?
Guerrilla tennis is tennis played anywhere but on a court. It does not refer to the style of tennis.

What planet are you from Wanna? Are you seriously telling us that professional tennis players don't play their matches on a tennis court? Of course the term "Guerrilla tennis" is (and has been ) used to describe a style of tennis. Poor chap should not have been dropped due to pressure from "The offended" on social media. I wonder if you are one of these "Offended on behalf of others, who aren't offended in the first place"??

Very much like Gerry, who claims to have been prevented from doing things which he has never actually tried to do, and has no interest in, but likes to moan about.
